Reuse of anything published here is governed by the licence attached to that exact item, not by the site as a whole.

This page records the licence on the OpenDeco source code, the licence on the typefaces the site sets its text in, and the source, rights basis and required credit for every photograph the site publishes.

Source code

The OpenDeco source repository is released under the Apache License, Version 2.0. The licence text is in the LICENSE file at the root of the repository and the accompanying attribution notice is in NOTICE.

The reference model adapters carry the same licence. Each model record names the source path and the licence that applies to it.

Site content

Written pages, original figures and other material authored for OpenDeco may be reused under the licence shown on that item or on its release. Where no licence is shown, none is granted.

Datasets

A dataset record states the source, the licence that came with it, the version, the access conditions and any attribution the source requires. Being able to open a file is not a right to redistribute it, and a derived artifact keeps the restrictions attached to its source.

Typefaces

The site sets its text in IBM Plex Sans, IBM Plex Serif and IBM Plex Mono. The font files are served from the OpenDeco build output, so reading a page fetches no font from a third party.

How the files are used: Web pages load the families through the fontsource packages bundled by the shared user interface package. Two ASCII subsets of IBM Plex Sans, one regular and one semibold, are held under apps/public-web/assets/fonts and are used to draw social preview images.
Conditions carried: The Open Font License permits use, modification and redistribution of the font software, requires that any derivative stays under the same licence, and does not allow the font software to be sold on its own. It places no condition on documents or pages set in the fonts.

Image rights record

Every photograph published on this site appears below with the file it is served from, the pages that use it, the person or agency that made it, the rights basis that allows OpenDeco to publish it, the source record it came from, what was changed, and the credit as published. The record is held with the files in public/media/IMAGE_CREDITS.md and is updated whenever an image is added, replaced or removed.

No photograph on this site is an OpenDeco original. None of them depicts an OpenDeco run, result or facility, and each is published for illustration only.

Other third-party material

Third-party code, data, figures and documents keep the licences and source conditions they arrived with. OpenDeco cannot extend rights it does not hold, and publishing something here does not widen the licence on it.

Attribution and citation

Cite a released artifact by the exact version you used. Scientific citation and the legal attribution a licence requires are separate obligations, and meeting one does not meet the other.
